Yuldashev explicitly denied that the accident occurred while escorting an official motorcade, dismissing rumors circulating on social media as incorrect.

Maybe Yuldashev's denial is true and it wasn't an official motorcade approved through proper channels (but some Moneybags McGee slipped the officers a handful of Uzbucks to do it anyway), maybe there's a translation error and it means to say that it wasn't an official's motorcade. Maybe he's lying. Not entirely certain why it happened but in the video, it looks pretty escort motorcade-y to me.

3 police motorcycles hit the car and one officer died. An article suggests that it was a VIP escort so somebody too special to be in traffic wouldn't suffer through the indignity of having to slow down.
