They didn't exactly ban AI code, they banned AI slop projects that were eating resources senselessly.

They banned ... we do not know what they banned. It's too ambiguously worded. It's like living under a malevolent tyranny intent on keeping the populace stressed and uncertain about the shifting ambiguous rules with no idea when the police will come for them. It is not fun being on codeberg, until they stop this, by merely clarifying their new rule.
