South Australia wants to get ahead of AI's risks and opportunities. Its royal commission could help shape the national debate.

The inquiry is set to to begin in October and report by July next year, with its terms of reference and three royal commissioners to be announced within the next four to six weeks.

I was speaking to a customer the other day whose son is working as a Sparky on one of the new sites.

Allegedly, the power grid cannot supply enough power so they have huge diesel generators, just like at the remote EV chargers.

They have tankers full of diesel arriving daily to keep them idling along.

They are using up all our water, all our electricity and all our diesel as well!
