Tim Hortons employee won’t face criminal charges in death of customer

7 days ago by VetOfTheSeas to c/nottheonion

A Tim Hortons employee involved in a conflict that started in the drive-thru and spilled into the restaurant will not be criminally charged in the death of a customer.

Tl;dr: 75-yo old woman attacks the employees over a sandwich, rips hair from one of them, put that hair in her purse, calls the police and dies.

At that point, two other employees intervened, and as they were pulled apart, a “chunk of hair” was pulled from the shift lead’s head, “leaving a raw area.”

Once separated, the employees got behind the counter and Grayson sat down, taking a phone call. She was seen picking up the shift lead’s hair and putting it in her bag, police said.

not as far as that. but the quality and clientele has declined steeply in the past decade and a half.

The clientele is the same as it always was.

They can also have declined.

But it hasn't. It's always been the same. The people who were very loyal to Tim Hortons in the 80s and 90s and 00s haven't moved on to another ubiquitous coffee chain. There aren't any others to move on to for the vast majority of the country.

I think you are speaking of quantity while I am speaking of quality.

I'm not talking about the amount of people, I am talking about who the people who go regularly now (i.e. the clientele) are.

They are not worse now than they were before. They mostly are the ones who were there before.
