Submitting a link post with a blank name should resolve locally

2 months ago by Flagstaff to c/blorp

  1. Start to draft a link post
  2. Enter the URL with no name and submit the post

It took a long time to process that locked up the app, until finally the server said there was a missing post name. Could this be handled locally?

It does. What I do is put the link in to the link box and then I tap on the body box that would bring up where I could write the body of the message and the link title gets resolved as the title itself.

Oh, I see now, yeah, thanks. It didn't do that first, though. Does it need time to grab the name? There's no indicator of how long that waiting period is. It would be nice if there was a dedicated button to press to set the link's title the way certain, third-party Reddit clients do.
