Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands has Easy Anti-Cheat removed

It's because most big games are made live service to sell as much extra bullshit as possible over it's "profitable" lifetime. They don't want people just "cheating" in the bonus cosmetics or making modifications.
It's completely unnecessary because if it's server authoritative, then people will still buy cosmetics to have on the server side so other people can see them (more people seem to care about this than seeing their own cosmetics). If people want client only cosmetics, what's the big deal?
Support for Linux has to be explicitly enabled, it's not on by default. Even when it's enabled, it causes complete bullshit. For instance, I can't use all of my CPU cores when playing Elden Ring - EAC isn't compatible with so many, have to disable some so that it can start.

they just added it to star citizen and all it did was make the audio unworkable.
Can we stop putting BS into software? It neither does what it claims nor stays out of the way.
