That's a silly analysis. It's the US/Israel axis that started this war of choice against Iran, and Iran has very few realistic options for defending its sovereignty against a freaking superpower. Creating costs for US allies like us is not pretty but honestly what else can they do, sit and take it?
The fault for this escalation lies squarely in US/Israeli hands. We as Europeans need to do anything in our power to stop them. Spain shows it can be done.
Edit: otherwise we are risking getting dragged into Trump's Big Stupid War, especially if Iran hits Bulgaria and Article 5 is triggered.

Going to war with the US for fucking Iran. Hell no.
Just stay on the sideline and do not dragged into this. Like exactly what European governments are doing, is certainly the right choice here.
Just because European governments aren't shooting at Iran doesn't mean they're "sitting on the sidelines." European cooperation with America in its feud with Iran (through diplomatic isolation, sanctions, etc) is a crucial part of what made the current shitshow possible. Short of a European JCPOA (that's actually followed), European countries are almost all on America's side here.
Technically not, but neither Tehran nor Washington is a true friend of Europe. In fact the current war is in many ways amazing for Europe. It destroys weapons stockpiles, which Iran could have sold to Russia and also keeps the US busy, which means no invasion of Greenland. The big issue is the oil price though.
The big issue is the oil price though.
Even that - in the mid- to long run - could prove to have some positive effects as it speeds up a shift towards renewables
