I was going to say i think only the graphic is ai and got photoshop on a real picture.
But i am no longer sure now.

I don’t know how synth id is designed but this makes me think the id is in the picture itself.
It could also have been “hey chatgpt can you put this (human) graphic on this guys shirt on this (real) photograph..
The way it works with physical printers is that there's a very feint pattern in ink that the printer puts on every page, which is too feint to notice by eye. But if you know the dimensions of the pattern you can cut up all the tiles and add them together and get something that is clearly visible. So with a detailed scan, every printed piece of paper can be traced to the printer that printed it.
This is one of the reasons you can't print in black and white without color on certain printers: if the pattern uses colors, then it can't do its surveillance job without color ink, so it refuses to work at all.
A similar thing could be going on here. A pattern that looks like noise unless you know what to look for, embedded across the entire image.
SynthID-Image is not the picture itself (it's applied post-hoc—which is to say, after the image is generated), but it is a very, very robust watermark that can stand up to large amounts of compression, text overlays, cropping, and a bunch of other stuff.
As to the graphic on the shirt: there is no way in this image to tell if the graphic is real, as far as I can tell, and a quick search found only shirts, but if anyone can find the original image and run it through OpenAI's SynthID detector...
That's what folks are saying, either way, @axolotl_cpp@feddit.it heeded my motion, and a printable has been prepd.
You're missing a T in straight by the way
Oh thanks! I didn't notice, i'il update the post
