I think this sort of politics is very important. Speaking generally, there needs to be a strong "vibe" that governments are helping. Think the "vibe" mamdani gives.
Its important to not oversell what you can do as a gov, but showing ambition towards compassionate projects that help the working class is so important if your wanting to defeat the nigels, trumps and in my countries' case the paulines of the world.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Unfortunately the proposed £100m won't touch the sides in terms of homelessness. We just don't have the social housing stock to house everyone at the moment, and as this article points out our temporary accommodation situation is dire.
Just to be clear, temporary accommodation are traditionally places like hostels owe ed and operated by local councils, and are used as the stepping stone to get someone into permanent (hopefully social) housing.
