Wasn’t that the accusation about why he was relieved: that Zelenskyy considered him a political threat?

I’m not saying that to criticize Zelenskyy, to be clear. He’s in an awful position and he’s doing incredibly. I think a midwar election would probably be harmful, given the tribal knowledge that would go missing if a new government were to be elected, and the attention it would take away from the war regardless.

If the Ukrainian people want one, they should definitely have one, but I worry it’s a bad idea to call for one right now. I’m not there though, and this guy has a lot of popular support, he’s certainly got a much better sense of both what the people want and how best to beat Russia than I do.

From what I've read, Fedorov has had some good ideas but clashed a lot with other Generals and ministers, often requiring Zelenskyy to personally mediate. So Zelenskyy decides to replace him with the latest rounds of cabinet reshuffling because he won't play nice with others

Didn't he clash with other ministers and generals because part of his portfolio was anti corruption reform?

Well I don't know shit but this seems bad. Federov is still inspiring protests every day, he's still saying he only wants to be Defence Minister, nothing else, and now this?

I dunno. A distraction might not be the worst thing in the world for Ukraine but what ripple effects it would have on prosecuting the war would presumably be bad. Is it just a ploy to get his old job back? If so - kind of a dick move, bro.

Plus I can't imagine anyone doing better than Zelenskyy is. Guy's been solid from day 1, given that he's human and fighting a superpower for years wasn't in the job description.
