I don't think it's just that; the reason why Trump is so Pro AI to the point where he banned any regulation at state level is because, to be very Frank with you, he wants AI for military and surveillance use.
That's what I think is all about. AI in the kill chain and AI to spy on American and dare I say non American citizens.
