As part of the Venezuelan Government’s response to overcome the challenges that affected commercial dynamics after the double earthquake, the Acting President Delcy Rodriguez led the second phase of financing delivery to entrepreneurs of La Guaira, framed within the plan announced on August 6 from Catia La Mar.
After a first stage focused on stabilizing supply and local tourism that benefited 1,766 entrepreneurs, this new capital injection aims to recover and reactivate the productive capacity of the state.

Text reads: “Acting President Delcy Rodríguez headed the reopening of strategic shops in Los Corales, Caraballeda, state La Guaira, boosting the revival of the local economy after the events of June 24. In addition, through the bank, she provided 478 financing for productive sectors and entrepreneurs to resume their commercial activities in the entity.”
On this occasion, 478 credits are directed to entrepreneurs and merchants of the formal sector in the entity. This delivery is made possible through effective articulation between public banking and private banking through agreements reached at the recent Banking Fair, guaranteeing the necessary tools for the consolidation of regional commerce.
“These 478 loans that we are giving today for economic activity, entrepreneurship, both the public bank and the National Credit Bank, private banks, we have combined efforts to support and provide financing so that you can resume your economic activities”, Rodríguez detailed, emphasizing that this strategic alliance is vital to inject working capital into those who move the economy from the ground up.
The reactivation plan arrives amid a complex scenario for the coastal region. The earthquakes of June 24 caused significant damage to infrastructure and disrupted economic activity in several sectors of La Guaira. Local authorities have prioritized the restoration of essential services and the support of small and medium-sized enterprises as pillars of sustainable recovery.
The financing program includes preferential rates and flexible payment terms designed to adapt to the realities of local commerce. Community leaders emphasized that access to formal credit represents a fundamental tool for families who lost their sources of income during the emergency.
The articulation between the public and private banking sectors constitutes a key element of the economic strategy. The recent Banking Fair facilitated agreements that allow a broader reach of financial services to communities that historically faced barriers to accessing the formal credit system. This approach aligns with the government’s vision of strengthening the productive apparatus through collaborative efforts between state institutions and private enterprise.
With these actions, the Bolivarian Government and the private sector ratify their articulated commitment to guarantee the comprehensive well-being of families in La Guaira and the sustainable development of the local economy.
“Keep moving forward and that in a very short time, we can have our state of La Guaira back on its feet, that the people who lost their homes move out into one, we are working hard on it,” Rodriguez affirmed.
The reopening of strategic businesses and the delivery of credits represent concrete steps toward the consolidation of a resilient recovery that prioritizes national production and the entrepreneurial force of the central coast.
