This is the 3rd woodblock print from our series in collaboration with Mokuhankan, exploring nostalgic views of a future Japan. This one is about climate change and, of course, about Yamanote line, the most iconic train in Tokyo. 🚃🚃🚃
@ateliersento@mastodon.art how was the Lyon tram painting process? Did they give you carte blanche? And for those of us not in Lyon, how can we appreciate the whole piece? lol
For context to those unaware:
Wonder why there's been an explosion of the use of the word atelier in the anime/manga communities in the past few years.
I'm curious what would make a train work better on the water than a conventional boat? Perhaps it is an adapted Catamaran design?
If you look at the shadow, it seems the train is hovering over the water.
If people are still inhabiting this flooded city (as continued train service would suggest) ... how are they handling the wastewater? It's all just going into the water the buildings are standing in, isn't it?
