A joint statement from the Galway, Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Drogheda Commuter Coalitions.The decision announced today to raise public transport fares is an absolutely unacceptable one to the organisations which represent public transport users nationwide.In recent days the government has extended cuts to excise duty on petrol and diesel. A measure which amounts to a cost of over two million euro a day. In effect what is being asked is for those who use public transport to cover this astounding

Not everyone relys on public transport, but almost everyone uses it at some point. And those who do rely on puboic transport definitely cannot afford this price hike. Please contact your TD's "https://www.contactyourtd.ie/" and ask them to stand against the price hike.
