Colorado ballot questions, meant to keep special interests in check, are increasingly created by them

The high cost of getting a ballot measure on Colorado ballots has given wealthy interests more power to push their agendas

Well duh, money = free speech according to SCROTUS. The result of this is the more money you have the more representation you get. This is why the common people don't get what they want but the wealthy do.

Every single government system we have is corrupted by this truth. We have a system that essentially embraces corruption. The entire government has been long ago captured by industry. Regulatory capture is real and accounts for the vast majority of our written policies.

Likewise, most social movements are also created by the wealthy to serve their interests. It only makes sense they would co-opt citizen petitions like this.
