Here’s hoping next year‘s major updates get rid of more the liquid glass nonsense.

I'm impressed the Liquid Glass slider widgets are so broken on a QA release.

I mean, some stuff feels better, Safari doesn't lock up all tabs on large allocs or randomly break when zooming, but other stuff like Spotlight is still broken.

Some filesystem operations are much faster, generally opening apps is much faster. The got performance back for mouseover and context menus, which has been missing for a few releases. Mail now marks my emails as read when I read them, so that's a plus.

Sidebar animations are still broken. Go to safari, click the sidebar button, watch as it lags and stutters. Go to mail, click the sidebar button a couple times, watch as one sidebar icon animates over another and fades out — that's your classic swiftui animation jank I'd hoped they'd fixed. The trick falls apart with liquid glass's transparent layers though.

Take a window with toolbar menu items that are collapsed, resize it, the collapsed items kinda just jump in and get frozen while the rest move around. There's a really inconsistent debounce there.

I still hate Liquid Glass. They made bubbles bubblier, and trapping all the icons in little bubbles feel like this guy might show up at any minute and wreck havoc:
