CGMagazine - Marcus Kenneth - 9 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a genuinely massive achievement, in scale and in ambition, with real depth and variety across the whole game.

COGconnected - James Paley - 82 / 100

If you’re any kind of Fire Emblem fan, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a slam dunk.

Cerealkillerz - Steve Brieller - German - 8.3 / 10

Beyond the sheer amount of story content, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave also brings with it plenty of the series’ familiar mechanics, which are introduced gradually and have to be managed along the way. The restrictions imposed at the beginning of each of the four Flame Lords’ stories can make their respective openings feel somewhat sluggish, but they reward the player’s persistence once the game opens up again after a few chapters.

Fans of the series, and especially of Three Houses, should find plenty to enjoy here. Beginners, meanwhile, have the advantage of being given multiple opportunities to get to grips with the game’s many different mechanics, and can even use time travel to correct mistakes in individual chapters.

Those willing to push through the repetitions and the somewhat tedious management of relationships and training in the capital will find a solid Fire Emblem experience with plenty of potential playtime.

Console Creatures - Bobby Pashalidis - 10 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is an ambitious entry for the series, and it delivers a memorable experience that's hard to put down. Between the expansive Flame Lord campaigns, which feed into the Pale Raven campaign, there is a lot of story content to parse through. Many of the characters you meet are worth recruiting, and getting to know them over a meal is one of the better moments outside of training with them at the colosseum. What Nintendo has done with the latest Fire Emblem is nothing short of marvellous.

Digitally Downloaded - Matt Sainsbury - 5 / 5

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a massively intelligent experience, with deep and rich themes, characters, and gameplay systems.

Digitec Magazine - Domagoj Belancic - German - 5 / 5

«Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave» is a massive strategy epic with a gripping story, memorable characters, and a unique structure that keeps things fresh even after 100+ hours. Its classic turn-based combat is excellent, while the addictive side activities add plenty of variety. Some repetitive elements may put players off, but clever systems keep the grind to a minimum. Beautiful cutscenes, creative character designs, and a bombastic soundtrack round out an exceptional experience. It is, simply put, the best Switch 2 exclusive to date and one of the best games I've ever played.

Eurogamer - Dom Peppiatt - 5 / 5

A synergy of everything that has made the series great for generations, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave hits the pinnacle of combat design, and is a sumptuous feast of a game.

Eurogamer.pt - Bruno Galvão - Portuguese - 5 / 5

Intelligent Systems continues to tread a delicate balance with grace: introducing new features to expand the scope, whilst never losing sight of the essence of the series and its core values. Fortune’s Weave is more than just another epic instalment in the Fire Emblem series; it is one of the first epics on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Everyeye.it - Domenico Musicò - Italian - 8.5 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is another step forward in the direction already charted by Three Houses. The new installment not only grows in size, but also further refines its gameplay systems, improving and deepening them, and adding a wealth of side activities and macro- and micro-management options that will truly delight those who loved the modern take on this historic saga.

GAMES.CH - Benjamin Braun - German - 85%

"Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave" is another consistently high-quality entry in the series, skillfully blending narrative and gameplay elements from various predecessors with some entirely new ones.

GameSpot - Steve Watts - 9 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a sprawling masterpiece of a strategy RPG, building upon the successes of past Fire Emblem games with new interconnected elements, expertly designed combat puzzles, and an emphasis on flexibility and choice.

Gameliner - Claudia Tjia - Dutch - 4 / 5

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave brings an interesting new twist to the familiar formula. The tactical battles feel familiar, while switching between four unique main characters and their different storylines provides plenty of variety. The story takes a while to get going, but it gets stronger once you understand how the different pieces fit together.

GamersGlobal - Hagen Gehritz - German - 8.5 / 10

Who loves Supports in Fire Emblem as much as I do and misses the more nuanced characters and connections of Three Houses might find Fortune's Weave somewhat lacking. But most of the time it is engrossing strategy fun that will make you wonder how the last few hours have vanished so quickly.

Geeks & Com - Anthony Gravel - French - 9 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave successfully combines the strong character-driven storytelling of Three Houses with the excellent tactical combat of Engage. Its four-protagonist structure offers a refreshing way to experience the same world from different perspectives, while the vast map and varied battles provide plenty to explore. Some repetition, tedious recruitment requirements, and underdeveloped dungeons hold it back slightly, but the overall formula works remarkably well.

Gfinity - Alister Kennedy - 7 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a visually stunning departure that trades the series' beloved tactical combat for heavy JRPG exploration. While the core grid battles are brilliant, they are too often buried under clunky real-time dungeons and tedious open-world busywork. It is an ambitious, beautiful experiment, but strategy purists may find themselves left out in the cold.

Giant Bomb - Jeff Grubb - 4 / 5

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is gigantic. That vastness can occasionally act as a barrier between the player and the core tactics, but it is somehow able to support all that weight with memorable battles and a sharp gameplay loop. In the end, the only major problem is vacuous writing -- and lots of it.

Glitched Africa - Marco Cocomello - 9 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is the most ambitious entry in the series yet, and it could likely be the best at the same time. With an incredible amount of depth and excellent storytelling, this is yet another Nintendo gem not to miss.

Hobby Consolas - Álvaro Alonso - Spanish - 88 / 100

Of course, there's no denying that its structure is, to say the least, unique. And there will probably be some people who find it difficult to grasp... But if you're a strategy enthusiast who enjoys meticulous management and min-maxing to build the best possible army, here's a tremendous SRPG and a bottomless pit of hours. Well, more than a pit... a cauldron.

IGN - Brendan Graeber - 10 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave provides an excellent pairing of combat strategy and management, with compelling stories spread across each of its four heroes that come together to form one phenomenal RPG.

IGN Italy - Alessandra Borgonovo - Italian - 8 / 10

A mature and ambitious Fire Emblem, capable of refreshing the formula with some good intuitions: it's a shame about the single save slot and a few other slip-ups.

IGN Spain - Alejandro Morillas - Spanish - 8 / 10

Following in the footsteps of Three Houses, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave features a four-protagonist structure, though it suffers from some pacing issues in the first half. Fortunately, once it overcomes those hiccups and returns to being a true Fire Emblem game, it delivers some of the best battles in the entire franchise, all set against the most spectacular and varied backdrop the series has seen to date.

Loot Level Chill - Adam Cook - 10 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave feels like four games in one, such is the scale on show. It might too much for some, but those who fall for it will live and breathe it for a long, long time because this is about as good as it gets for tactics fans.

Nintendo Blast - Leandro Alves - Portuguese - 10 / 10

Fortune’s Weave is massive in the best possible sense, balancing what fans love about the franchise while maintaining its own identity. Its well-written characters, intriguing campaign, unexpected twists, and connections to Fire Emblem: Three Houses make every decision feel meaningful, while branching paths, rewards, and losses add significant replay value. Exploring the Nabatean gods, their connection to Sothis and Three Houses, and developing the characters are especially rewarding. The game’s many mechanics also keep you engaged, constantly forcing strategic decisions both in battle and throughout the city and World Map. Ultimately, Fortune’s Weave is an immersive combination of strategy, storytelling, and meaningful choices. After years without giving a game a perfect score, I had no hesitation here: Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave deserves it.

Nintendo Connect - Oliver Buge - German - 95%

I enjoyed every single one of the nearly 170 hours I spent with Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. The countless times I cursed at my units missing a 99% hit chance while enemies land their 10% shots is just part of the Fire Emblem experience.

I'm still eager to learn more about the history of Fortune's Weave's world. I can overlook the lack of a New Game+ and the single save slot available to players. Attentive fans have already noticed a mention of in-game purchases in the eShop, though nothing of the sort has been announced yet. We'll have to wait and see what the future holds for Fortune's Weave.

Nintendo Life - Jim Norman - 8 / 10

On the whole, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is dense, deep, and really rather delightful. It can sometimes feel like a bit too much of a good thing, with the pacing slipping in the later chapters, thanks to an unnecessarily complicated protagonist hierarchy and some grindy map management, but the battles have never felt better, and there's no knocking the sheer amount to do.It takes a lot for a game to hold my attention for as long as Fortune's Weave, and with a bunch of content still waiting for me, I'll be happy to pour even more days into it.

PPE.pl - Wojciech Gruszczyk - Polish - 9 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is one of the best strategy games of recent years, brilliantly building on the series’ tried-and-tested foundations whilst adding some brilliant new ideas. Brilliant tactical battles, four intertwining storylines and a wealth of options for developing your team mean you can easily spend over 100 hours in this world. Not all storylines and activities are of the same high standard, and the sheer number of systems can sometimes feel overwhelming, but for fans of the genre, this is an absolute must-play.

RPG Site - Cullen Black - 8 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a massive SRPG and an extremely ambitious game. While its tactical battles, exploration, and management systems are excellent, a disjointed narrative holds this entry back from its potential.

SECTOR.sk - Michal Korec - Slovak - 9.5 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave desires to be the largest and the best title in the series. As Fire Emblem is not only about rich plot and dense battles, you can enjoy full-fledged game with large amount of activities between battles. Enriched with dungeons, nice world-map and better balance in the game structure, this is wonderful experience in the connected world full of top-tier content. You can decide how to manage your army, battle and especially time for everything this game offers.

Saudi Gamer - عصام الشهوان - Arabic - 4 / 5

A sprawling, epic and very ambitious journey that nevertheless requires you to like and be good at tactical games, but that rewards you handsomely the more you engage with its myriad systems.

Shacknews - Donovan Erskine - 9 / 10

Intelligent Systems delivers supreme tactical combat in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave with refined mechanics and a plethora of options to choose from, and a story that is uniquely structured in a way that encourages fans to overturn every stone. It’s sure to delight fans of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, but is also independent enough that newcomers shouldn’t feel lost. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is the dense, character-rich RPG that I’ve been waiting to play on my Switch 2.

The Games Machine - Danilo Dellafrana - Italian - 8.7 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a huge, ambitious installment that's initially difficult to pin down. The four stories, shared progression, and the multitude of systems revolving around battles take time to show how everything is connected, but once they do, it's hard not to get swept up in the choral narrative.

TheSixthAxis - Dominic Leighton - 9 / 10

A multi-stranded strategy RPG masterclass, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is absolutely a part of the conversation for being the very best game in this venerable series.

Video Chums - A.J. Maciejewski - 9.2 / 10

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is an amalgamation of many diverse elements which add up to one rewarding adventure that's full of thoughtfully-written characters, unique challenges, and satisfying progression systems. 🔮

Very good reviews! I still have a route and half left from Three Houses otherwise this would've been a day-1 buy.
