Installing derivations as packages

a month ago by Mastergamer433 to c/guix

Is there any way to easily install a guix derivation as a package? Or just install it into your profile in an easy way. Like if i write a derivation, how do I include it in my configuration? I'd like to just slap the derivation in the packages field of the operating-system record or the home-configuration record.

That's not really what i wanna do though. So like there is this project that can translate a guix derivation to a nix derivation. I want to just do the reverse but be able to install the derivation in my profile using my config.

I think to do this complex task you need to familiarise yourself with guix in the basic manner, just use it normally, study the code, read relevant help articles on the blog on the website, guix works differently to nix, maybe contact the person who did the guix-> nix way
