There is a reason it isn't seen/used more, and that's cause it's really more a labor force participation number. Like the reason the percentage of women is higher in this metric is most likely tied to things like stay at home moms.
Things like underemployment or disenfranchised workers are good to keep track of, but there are people who do move out of the typical workforce (retirees, stay at home parents, etc.) that I wouldn't count as unemployed.

2 No Trolling
3 No capitalist apologia, anti-socialism, anti-communism, or liberalism, liberalism is in direct conflict with the left. Support for capitalism or for the parties or ideologies that uphold it are not welcome or tolerated.
4 No imperialism, conservatism, reactionism or Zionism, lessor evil rhetoric. Dismissing 3rd party votes or 'wasted votes on 3rd party' is lessor evil rhetoric.
5 No bigotry, no racism, sexism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or any type of prejudice.
6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc. This includes instance shaming.

What about age? I didn't see a graph for it. From the article:
The $26k bit would mean that number include most young adults (18+) in high school and college which we typically have different expectations for.
