A new study from University of Hawai‘i researchers links metals found in the ash of the 2023 Maui wildfires with impaired lung function.

During the bad fire season in Oregon a few years back, my sinuses got crazy irritated from the smoke and the effects of that lasted well into the rest of the year. I took me almost 6 months to heal. Shit is no joke.

Air pollution harms peoples lungs every day.

IIRC it was in London after the ULEZ came in there was a measurable improvement to the health of children in the area, fewer asthma related hospitalisations and even test results improved with the largest improvements being in the more deprived areas.

I'll support pretty much anything that improves air quality. Currently feeling 50/50 towards anti-vehicle landmines.
