Out of respect for Kubrick I felt bad this was one of the few movies I ever really fell asleep watching. Then I woke up even more lost than before.
In 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) this shot lingers for an astounding 17 minutes. That's because that's how long I watched it after an extended weed break before I realized it was still paused

I feel asleep a few times trying to get through this film my first time. But something about it made me want to keep trying and I was eventually able to way h they whole thing. It has become one of my favorites.
