How is the iPhone 5s in 2026?

It is the longest officially software supported iPhone.

The model could be the longest running smartphone on the market.

it's pretty good.

but because of the 1GB ram limit, you can't run many apps at once on iOS 12. the phone can be (untethered) downgraded to iOS 10.3.3, so that would make it more usable as a feature phone..

modern app support is of course terrible. but there are community patches for some popular social media stuff if you need those. the builtin Safari browser is quite broken on 'modern' websites, but someone recently ported Chromium to run on iOS 12+ and that kinda works albeit slowly.
