Share your Shave of the Day for Tuesday!
October 6th, 2026
Killed this old sample from way back in 2020. I think it was u/OnionMiasma who put together these sample packs of Noble Otter and Declaration Grooming. As a new wetshaver it really helped introduce me to some classics, like this BarrBarr. It's a barbershop scent. Theme accomplished.

No Zingari Zischtig today, but a sample kill. RIP Ribalta. I rather liked the soap, but I will not buy a full tub (at least: for the moment).
Have a good night!

October 6th, 2026: Shave and a Haircut
Theme justification - According to the tub, Tonsorium is a "citrusy barbershop style scent."
Relevant Post Shave or Frag - Ghost Town Barber is a barbershop-style fragrance.
Daily challenge - I'll be back later with memes.

$FOF - All three share bergamot and oakmoss.
Tonsorium is a different take on Tonsorial Parlour, which CB built around the idea of a Victorian barbershop. Bergamot, litsea, and petitgrain on top of lavender, geranium, and oakmoss. The premium base, as always, was stupid slick.
Denim Original is from ~1976, a cheap mass-market chypre: bergamot, clary sage, and petitgrain over frankincense, amber, vetiver, and oakmoss. I don't think it was ever marketed as a barbershop scent, but it definitely suits theme of the shave.
Ghost Town Barber is Chiseled Face's "wild west" barbershop. Again with bergamot and oakmoss, but the lavender is gone and the base is Texas cedar, leather, smoke, and gunpowder. GTB was my first artisan soap and really started some of my wetshaving thrill. I'm glad to still have a bottle of the frag around.

LG SOTD - 2026-10-06
Theme: Shave and a Haircut - a barber in a ghost town works at a ghost barbershop. I'm using the set and pairing it with Brut EdC, because it smells barbershop-y to me. FTFM:
