Okay so now instead of threatening to harm humans they are actually killing animals
In my opinion, the best way to minimize the killing of animals for food is to improve cultered meat production. In general, all it needs to do is become cheaper to produce/buy than regular meat.
A vegan diet is up to 30% cheaper today. No need to wait for some hypothetical new alternative to meat. There is already vegan meats. You can always swap to a different alternative whenever it comes out if you want.

What an incredibly stupid, ans maybe even low-key racist article.
The Somali pirates were always fishermen. Their fishing villages have existed for centuries. Their priacy is a response to modern industrial mega-ships fron foreign countries illegally fishing in Somali waters and depleting the stock of fish. They didn't need to be taught how to fish.
