Share your Shave of the Day for Sunday!
October 11th, 2026: Canned Shave Goop
Theme justification - This can of Barbasol was purchased local to me. My wife uses it to get stains out of clothing, and I guess I use it to shave during LG.
Relevant Post Shave or Frag - Skin Bracer was also purchased local to me. I was under the impression that Skin Bracer was being discontinued, but I keep seeing it in stores. Fine by me, I think it's an excellent splash for the price.
Daily challenge - No den tour from me this year.
$FOF - Not much interesting here. Two American shaving staples followed by a solid RG dupe. Nice, smooth, and restrained. The soap isn't my favorite to shave with, but the scent progression was great.

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
I really enjoyed revisiting this Whispering Woods shave and splash. It is a perfect fit for a crisp autumn morning walk.
Theme: Canned Shave Goop - okay. I visited the local Wally World with the intent to avoid Barbersol and Cremo. I found Van Der Hagen "shave butter." On my way to the register, I picked up the Dove 3n1 (body, hair, shave) just in case.
I used the VDH for a small arm patch yesterday. Today, I wanted to bring it to a lather. Well that doesn't work at all. Reading the ingredients, it has no soap. It's whipped gel I guess. Straight into the trash. The Dove bar is shaped like an ergonomic body bar, so it doesn't fit in any mug. I hand loaded it. It lathered and it did in fact shave. Despite loading up on fougère aftershave and Brüt (which was also a Wally World acquisition) that "extra fresh" smell is still poking through. Extra Fresh Fougère I suppose.
Daily Challenge: Den tour: tubs | samples | post shave | display/hardware

All of this software is available in stores near me. Edge Sensitive Skin Gel with Aloe is fine, I guess. I used a brush with it and it actually took quite a bit of water. I got a close comfortable shave.
Barbasol Brisk is no longer available, but I bought it at CVS before they stopped making it.
Dove Men+Care, last I checked, is sold at Dollar Tree. $1 for a little tub. It's fine.
Daily Challenge: sorry, not participating in today's fun.
