ScummVM 2026.4.0 "Never-slop" is released on the 25th anniversary

How does that work? It shows that every single recent commit has been LLM-assisted but I can’t see anything to indicate that when checking https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/commits/master/
The scan site shows each commit that it detects, you can open it directly using https://github.com/....
Those commits have "Assisted-by: Codex:GPT-5.4" text in description, so that's why they are flagged.
Then there is this: https://github.com/...
And also CLAUDE.md and .claude in gitignore, which means that those files are expected to be present on developers' machines and not supposed to be published on github.
Slop is all over the place, slightly obfuscated in places.
Looking at the AI GUIDELINES file:
No slop. Do not submit code changes that solely rely on "vibe coding" without understanding the generated code.
This answers your question. Looks like the developers have a definition of slop that is different to your definition, which is why to you "never slop" is clearly incorrect while being consistent with what they consider slop.
Basically by "never slop" they meant "no vibe coding", not "no AI assisted development".
Obfuscating it is shitty enough but claiming “never slop” while every new commit is LLM asssisted is a whole new level.
Maybe that’s what Kaze Emanuar was referring to here: https://nitter.pp.ua/...
