St. Lucie County, Fla., residents sounded the alarm over the discovery of 14 Flock Safety cameras that officials have no record of. The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office has claimed ownership of three of the cameras, although the department has declined to comment on why there were no permits or if they had accessed them. That leaves 11 cameras with unknown owners and no way of knowing who is accessing sensitive surveillance data. County officials are allowing the individual(s) time to take the cameras down before moving forward with an investigation.
In August, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an order to remove Flock cameras located within the right of way on state highway systems and revoked existing permits for automated license plate recognition systems. Florida was the first state to ban the controversial Flock cameras
I scroll YouTube shorts (I’m weak) and there’s a guy there who does traffic safety systems and calls out how flock cameras in the “clear zone” don’t have shear-off poles. They’re a menace on many levels.

If nobody owns it, presumably it's not a crime to destroy or possess them
