Also got my bloods tested:
Estrogen: 415 pmol/L Testosterone: 0.5 nmol/L
Pre HRT I was at: Estrogen: 117 pmol/L Testosterone: 20 nmol/L
That is all :3

My HRT stuff was 154 pmol/L E and 11 nmol/L T. Four months ago, they haven't tested me since or increased anything. My doctor told me to not expect much and nothing is happening so I guess that's true.
WTF? both of those numbers are pretty solidly within expected cis male ranges, you aren't on HRT at all!!!!
EDIT: for reference, my blood work lab reports an expected range of 41.4-159 pmol/L for estrogen and 8.6-29.0 nmol/L for testosterone when i select "male" on the signup form. transfemscience shows similar numbers. your endocrinologist is royally fucking you over and essentially has given you nothing at all, you should switch doctors immediately or start DIY if HRT is important to you
Fairly certain my doctor is just like actually transphobic or has some bizarre idea that trans people are their sex assigned at birth, but just want to be a more masc/fem version of it, because that's what the conversations I can remember gave off. I think he's used to like high estrogen for men implying like an endocrine disorder and thinks it'll be bad for me if I went up too high too fast.
I was lying when I said completely nothing, like my nipples are sore. Maybe I was getting tested as the pills I took in the morning weren't fully in my system. Seems strange that apparently that's within male ranges if I have some symptoms. I didn't get my first bloodwork results, but they said it increased.
Idk if there are other doctors or how to find them, was planning on just waiting it out for however long it takes, because I'm lucky to not have that much dysphoria and I've already gone through puberty so it can't really get worse (at least I think). I missed one appointment and various unfortunate things happened so that I couldn't get another, so it's been nearly a year of this.
Do I really have to fight with doctors?
okay so what you really have to understand is that, for the most part, trans healthcare fucking sucks everywhere. unless you luck out and find one of the very few good endos, for the most part they'll fit in one of two boxes:
i know a girl (currently 17) who has been "on HRT" for a bit over a year, and her endo was insisting that she needs to "ramp up her E levels slowly". in practice, this meant that she was on a full dose of T-blockers and was critically underdosed on E (she'd been prescribed a quarter of a 25mg patch - yes, a quarter of the lowest-dose patch - for the first 6 months, and after some substantial pushing and complaining about nothing happening her endo bumped her up to a THIRD of the same size patch, which is still comically low and an almost negligible amount of estrogen). in effect, this 17-year-old had close to zero testosterone and a negligibly low level of estrogen for over a year. this was clearly active hostility because "you need to have at least one dominant sex hormone" is like Endocrinology 101, there's no way her endo wasn't aware that she was putting a 17-year-old (who was in the middle of puberty) through what can only be described as "menopause but more extreme".
after a whole bunch of back and forth between the endo and this girl, with a significant amount of support from my local transfem community to refute each of the endo's arguments (which all sounded quite reasonable to a layperson but are obvious bullshit to anyone who actually knows anything about how HRT works) with actual research, the endo eventually admitted in a roundabout that they just didn't like the idea of giving estrogen to "a boy".
for context: i'm in Switzerland, which generally has a fantastic (if rather expensive) healthcare system. the general consensus among the trans community here is that there are precisely three endocrinologists out of the hundreds in the greater central Switzerland area who are actually good for trans people. everyone i know who isn't at one of those endos and isn't doing DIY is constantly having to fight for the absolute minimum level of care.
in short, if HRT is something you want to pursue you need to educate yourself, as the vast majority of endos will either not know what do to (in which case you have to be able to intervene), or will intentionally try to fuck you over (in which case you need to be able to catch them on their bullshit so that you know to go elsewhere).
and yes, you absolutely have to fight with doctors, if your levels are still at cis male levels after nearly a year nothing is going to change and they'll just keep you trapped here forever.
The times between appointments are so long it's almost comical if you compare it to the actual time the appointments take.
Also what does prog for some people when they're also on estrogen? Do you have to be on estrogen for a really long time to go on it? I did actually ask about it, but was kind of brushed off.
prog is supposed to improve breast development (and often has some significant effects on libido and a few other things) and most people start it something like 6-12 months after starting E. that said, there isn't much in the way of true medical research out there, so it's hard to say with any certainty how effective it is and when the optimal starting time is (a lot of doctors will take the lack of research and use it to claim that prog definitely isn't necessary, which is a lie).
in my experience a lot of girls try it for a few months and may or may not keep taking it depending on whether or not they personally think it made a difference (and whether or not they like the extra levels of horny). but it's very much a "your mileage may vary, try it and see!" sort of thing.
Maybe one day I will try it.
i refuse to believe that this timing is a coincidence, your post must have caused these lands to be blessed with more prog prescriptions

I recommend starting with a low dose of Yes, tritating up to Pink Floyd, then adding Riverside as adjunct therapy.
