Had just walked up the street to get meh prog, and then went to the bakery to get something nice to eat (a nice pastie) and a croissant for my mum.
While I'm waiting for my mum's croissant to get toasted, this old fucker asked where i was from. I said i was a local. He acted surpised. "A queer in this small town!?" he probably thought lol. This old fucker then points out my nails (they were alternating black/pink), then asks "your a girl are ya?" I said no. I didn't want to start shit idk, not that the guy could physically hurt me being so old. also in public too.
I just stared in front me hoping to god the croissant would finally get toasted, and then just left without saying anything.
Small towns suck because at some point im gonna see this fucker. also is he gonna say shit? That said, my small town is split between farmer bogans and progressive middle class. so its honestly relatively chill tho.
It was also so weird. I could feel him lookin at me before the interaction. He treated me like some alien from "woke" melbourne lmaooo. But no, sorry dude, this queer has been walking amongst you for years.
anyway at least I got the prog now lol
I'm sorry, I know this kind of stuff really sucks. This is the kinda person I'd love to treat as if they're the weird one (because they are) but I'm always too scared to do so. They could have been prodding to see if you were trans, but I've had people ask me if I'm a girl or not before (I said no because I believed that), and from what I could tell they were asking sincerely, sometimes gender non-conformity just confuses people.
Edit: Sorry I re-read, that's probably just transphobia my bad. Sorry you had to go through that
I would try not to worry about it if you do see him, congrats on the prog!
