This integration with Mastodon is a bit new and has only been running for a month or two. So I'm still finding and fixing the problems, plus finishing off missing functionality.
One of the things I didn't really consider was that people behave quite differently on Mastodon. Unleashing a flood of toots is fine there because the hashtag-based blocking is much better.
We don't have that in PieFed yet. So I reached for the only tool I have for dealing with it, which produced a clumsy result. Sorry about that.

I can't find the banned account now, but I recognise the profile pic of https://infosec.exchange/@onuSBonus as the same as an account I banned a few days ago. From memory, it was because it was making a new post every minute, for hours and hours at a time. Huge floods of single sentence posts that no one will ever read.
