A US-brokered ceasefire was supposed to end the war in Gaza. A year later, progress has stalled

Israel and Hamas agreed to a U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal a year ago, raising hopes of ending the war in Gaza.

It's been a year since a ceasefire deal brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump and Arab allies promised to end the war in Gaza. Israel is still launching deadly strikes on the devastated territory. The agreement halted major military operations, freed all remaining hostages and increased humanitarian access. But it has failed to deliver on promises of a new Palestinian administration aided by international forces, the disarmament of Hamas and an end to Israel's control over more than half the territory. Almost nothing has been rebuilt. Israel has tied any progress on the other issues to Hamas' complete disarmament, while the militant group and the Trump administration say they should happen simultaneously. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hardened his stance over the summer, openly defying Trump, his most important ally, ahead of Israeli elections later this month. The wrangling has left Gaza's 2 million Palestinians stuck. Most are sheltering in rodent-infested tent camps, the rubble of their former neighborhoods or war-damaged buildings at risk of collapse. The ceasefire is merely nominal, ink on paper.

This community documents the full spectrum of Zionist violence – physical, structural, and political. That includes:

  • Settler attacks, land theft, and home demolitions
  • Israeli military operations and arms deals
  • AIPAC, the Israel lobby, and their influence on Western politics
  • Media censorship and suppression of Palestine coverage
  • Book excerpts, articles, and footage that expose how Zionist power operates

We focus on what Western media ignores. We do not exaggerate. We do not lie. The facts are damning on their own.

⚠️ Why Tankie.tube? Western PeerTube instances delete my videos. Tankie.tube does not. That is the only reason. It says nothing about my politics.

Rules

  1. Descriptive Titles – State what is shown or reported. Critical language is fine, but describe the event accurately. ❌ "Another day of Zionist terror" → ✅ "Settlers attack Palestinian village near Nablus, multiple injuries reported"

  2. No Anti-Semitism – Criticism of Zionism, Israel, or its policies is welcome. Racist or genocidal language against Jews as a people is not. This is an anti-Zionist space, not an anti-Jewish one.

  3. No Hate Speech or Incitement – Calls for violence against civilians are prohibited.

  4. Amplification and Reposting – Many platforms censor this content. Members are encouraged to repost to other instances and platforms. The more places this is shared, the harder it is to ignore.
