Hi there,

I am currently working on getting things up and running so we can create a place to share our passion for music.

Feel free to ask any questions or leave any suggestions you might have.

Suggested communities:

DIY
WhatShouldIBuy
GearRepair
BattleStationPhotos
GearDebate
Newbie (should just be a bunch of locked threads of the same questions that always get asked)
Dawless
LiveJams

Also, if you need a mod, let me know. Additionally, the list button doesnt format correctly

Very nice 👏 you have the power to create communities yourself so go ahead. As for moderation: I'm thinking we will self-moderate until we need to set some ground rules.

I like having this split out. If you don't want to hear the same "what should I buy" questions over and over, don't go there, etc.

Hello, I didn't come from Reddit, I came from Mastodon. Thanks for setting this up! :D

Thanks for setting this up! Was looking for a new home away from Reddit and I’m happy to have found a music-centric place!

I find myself wondering - if r/synthesizers decides to shut down indefinitely, how will more people from there find this? And if there were an official note to direct people here, I can only imagine we'd hit a limit of what the server can handle pretty quickly. I'd love to see this place grow, I just hope there's a plan for how that's going to work.

If that happens we’ll see. If I really need to I will pull a few all-nighters to make this scale. I’ve scales applications for that amount of users before.

Then again, I don’t expect the majority to want to go to a new website and make a new account. But we’ll see.
