I'm considering this product, but I'd like to ideally be able to replace the battery myself. How difficult or easy is this? I haven't found a guide about them online yet

Sure, the wf-1000 xm3 is just pop open and unscrew two screws to replace the battery
It doesn't even have a water resistance rating because it doesn't have a watertight seal. I would expect to have to heat up the linkbuds S with a hair dryer first to get in
Appreciate the info. I have the wf-1000 xm3s and it's good to know I can work on them if I have to.

Whether it be electronics, automobiles or medical equipment, the manufacturers should not be able to horde "oem" parts, render your stuff useless if you repair it with aftermarket parts, or hide schematics of their products.

Hell, are any TWS earbuds user repairable? Hadn't thought about it much but they must be a nightmare to work with.
