Aaand another reply from .ca
I can see those 3 comments from lemmy.world. I'm still getting 502 bad gateway for lemmy.ml
Bad gateway where? Like just trying to request it?
They just migrated to a new server this morning, I wonder if DNS hasn't fully propagated yet
I just freaking love how effectively the concept of federation seems to map to these reddit-likes.

This is great and I'll be supporting it as much as I can. I moderated a few communities on Reddit and that site can burn to the ground with how little they appreciate the people that maintain its value for them.
I'm still in talks with the mod team over there. Conversations are positive
The problem is that the server owners are asking people not to do this because of the excess load, and currently cross-instance content simply isn't working correctly. If you join another instance and subscribe to lemmy.ml/c/ps5, you don't see all of the same content; likewise, content posted by people on the other instance doesn't all filter through to the .ml instance.
So telling everyone to join .ml is crappy, and telling everyone to join a different instance is also crappy. We're hoping that the lemmy devs get the issues sorted before the blackout ends so we can start directing people.
Fronm the dev on mastodon they migrated lemmy.ml to a new server this morning. Replies are positive on the snappiness of it. Still waiting for it to propagate to my dns though. Should be good in time.
It does feel snappier, but occasionally I am still getting cases where the CSS doesn't load and the site looks like its 1995.
Really not all content is shared? That's pretty bad.
thanks for using Leebra!
