Personally, it didn't kill the hype for me. Better that they split it up, instead of trying to cram everything into the original final season. I think the biggest mistake was naming it Final Season to be honest. If it wasn't named Final Season, I don't think anyone would've bat an eye. I'm more disappointed in how AoT didn't seem to get the priority from Mappa or whoever it should've gotten.

This is it. They should not have named it final season. Once they named it final season, that was an expectation set, and they keep on changing the expectation in the most annoying way. I would have preferred them cram everything into a terrible final season than edging us like this for 3 years.

Honestly, their chance has already passed with this nuttery for me. I'm done with the series, I don't even want to know the ending. All I'm waiting for is to stop hearing about the series

I dropped the series at ep 11 of final season when I learned it was gonna have a final season part 2. Maybe in a few years I'll go back and finish it off, but fuck, this release schedule has really soured me on the series.
