Gentoo's package deprecation process

Gentoo’s process for removing packages from the main gentoo package repository is designed to make me aware of it and give me time to react, and I really appreciate that.

Used Gentoo mainly in 2019-2020 and I sometimes get the urge to go for Gentoo again but Arch is serving me well right now (and I'd prob need a little help configuring it in a way that won't overheat my 7950X). Though I might just give it a try in a VM for old time's sake.
