Drugs should be decriminalized, I don't see how a kid with a hard drug problem will be helped by being charged and thrown in juvie. They should instead go through drug rehab. But this is coming from a non-canadian, I don't know how their system works.

I agree.

Needs to be decriminalised for anybody with "a hard drug problem" (parents of minors informed).

But don't fool yourself few addicts will stay in rehab voluntarily and even if they do and "detox", the battle has just began. It is so easy to fall backwards.

What in the world is this trash source and right wing outrage porn.

  1. Fentanyl is no longer a “big pharma” problem exclusively. Our illicit drug market in Canada is being supplied with fentanyl from China.
  2. Throwing people - of any age - in jail for simple drug possession is not the answer and only further marginalizes them, making it harder for them to get any help.
  3. Love the appeal to emotion here: “eVeN fOr ChILdReN!!!!” Yeah decriminalization means for everyone. What do you want to do throw kids in jail but not parents for the same thing?
