For me, I'll be walking to church soon. Today will be exciting for me as I've wanted a new microphone for the pastor for years, and today will be the first day we use it.

You mentioned a tablet for mixing. Is it okay to mention which audio mixer your church uses?

Behringer X air XR18

Works really well and the app is pretty intuitive. Had a hissy fit this morning though so we will see.

Now that is a familiar mixer! The X Air mixers have a good reputation. They also use the same interface as the mixer that I use, which is the Midas M32c. Personally speaking, I like to connect it up to a computer/laptop as the desktop app is easier for me to use than the ipad app.

I'm sorry to hear that it had a hissy fit this morning for you. I hope that you don't have further issues like that as you have a good mixer.

It works well generally yes. The interface is good, the compressors remind me of the old Composers as they have a really good auto attack/release. I know Behringer claim it has Midas pres, but you cannot compare it to a proper Midas (I used to use XL4s and Heritage consoles). They are still pretty good though.
