when you tell a stackoverflow user to touch grass

Holy shit most of that is just the US lmao

Reposts, and people repeating the same tired jokes over and over.

Lemmy reminds me of why I even liked Reddit in the first place. Honestly, it makes me worry how it'll change if it grows. Because the downfall of Reddit for me wasn't really the API changes, or Spez, or the crappy new features, it was just more people flowing in, all desensitised jokers hungry for attention. For now, I'm liking it, though! And now I know there's other places I can go if a billion-dollar corporation kills the Fediverse :)

what happened overnight why are we talking about poop and beans

The thing that annoys me the most is when during bonfire night season (I'm UK), idiots fire off fireworks weeks before the actual day itself

Also, what’s a better sub for this kind of post? Inb4 mastodon.

I guess there's !casualconversation@lemmy.world? Although I like how casual this community is compared to it's... equivalent

Punishment

Honestly I was pretty done with Reddit besides like 2 subs when the shutdown happened so I probably would've just stopped.

(That's assuming no other sites would take Lemmy's place as most popular)

You don't want to know how I misread that title. 😶

It's so disgusting. Why is nobody calling out these stupid deals? I mean if we could really trust Microsoft with one of the biggest VG publishers in the world they wouldn't need to write contracts basically saying "we'ww be good, we pwomise!!!"

FYI Connect seems to be pretty unoptimised: https://lemmy.world/post/953025

RN I'm using Jerboa until Sync comes out

...where in central Scotland?

💩

I honestly think I prefer Lemmy's layout over Reddit's (new or old), but this is still really cool, wow

that's mastodon actually

Noooo way, they got bought out by Avast

Yeah, I'm using Connect for now because it feels really similar to Sync, at least until Sync for Lemmy comes out. Just wish it had gestures 😔

EDIT: Welp I just found out Connect sucks, guess I'm using Jerboa now lmao https://lemmy.world/post/953025
