After passing my certification with ease, my instructor pointed out that women generally make better forklift drivers ... so, this would make sense in an animé about the cut-and-thrust world of competitive forklift driving ... which is also a thing BTW.

The Borg became a metaphor for colonialism, I think, with assimilation being an "improvement" for it's victims.

My first salaried job was also my first proper IT job and I was a "junior technician" ... the only other member of IT staff was my supervisor who had been a secretary that got a 1 week sysadmin course and knew very little.

The server room was a complete rat's nest and I resolved to sort it out. It was all going very well until I tripped over the loose SCSI 3 cable between the AIX server and it's raid array. While it was in use.

It took me 2 days to restore everything from tape. My supervisor was completely useless.

A few months later I was "made redundant", leaving behind me everything working perfectly and a super tidy server room. I got calls from the company asking for help for the following 6 months, which I politely declined.

Can't speak for other games, but there's a LOT of former truck drivers who play Snow Runner.

Back when I was working as a forklift driver, when I broke my leg and was stuck at home on the sofa I really enjoyed driving the forklift around in GTA5 and just moving palettes around.

Hey, my wife and her sister moved away about 12 years ago ... it was absolutely the right thing for both of them.

Anyone even halfway intelligent is better off moving away from Hungary. I feel sorry for those who can't speak a foreign language and thus are stuck there.

If you want to check out something related, wierd, and interesting check out German radio controlled truck conventions ... lots of people go together and drive their RC stuff in a sensible realistic manner. I find it adorable.

It's saying most of those who don't care about animals on the road drive SUVs, not that most SUV drivers don't care about animals.

I have to admit, that is easily the cutest tank I've ever seen!

(I've seen Girls Und Panzer, and read everything Tank Girl, so I'm an expert!)

I love radio control trucks, but not for competition or to go fast. I like taking them for a walk like one might walk a dog ... it's just fun and a bit silly.

A friend of a friend once talked me into going to a munch, where some scenes were going to be done. I'm interested in seeing new things and try to be open to having my horizons broadened, so I figured why not?

I have to say, not only did I find it intensely boring, it was also about as much of a turn-off as I can imagine any in-person experience being.

Yeah, I got laid off twice more before switching careers. Both times they wanted me to come back and fix stuff after letting me go.

It goes hand in hand with the "if someone works hard, they should be given more work as a reward" line of thinking.

Women are statistucally more likely to be "casual" gamers, and more likely to play games on mobile.

I admit that I very casually have about 600 hours in Snowrunner at the moment, and my wife has very casually completed The Witcher 3 about 500 times.

Serious answer: it's a drug that the Jem Hadar warriors had a dependability on, due to their genetic engineering by the Dominion.
