When my younger cousin who I'm very close to was getting married I was supposed to be a groomsmen but, my unit was deploying so my.cousin had the wedding planned so that I could take leave and go before deploying. My grandmother (who Is a not very nice person) was moving to Germany from the US so she convinced my cousin to change her wedding date to a date I couldn't take leave on so that she could be part of the wedding before she moved. When I complained my grandma told me " when you decide to leave home you miss important events"

Flash forward 5 years to when I was getting married. My grandma was back from Germany for 6 months. Me and my wife originally had our wedding planned for a date 2 weeks before grandma left then I realized that I had to get back at her. So we rescheduled for 2 days after she left. When she complained I told her " when you decide to leave home you miss important events"

When I got burnt out I did a hard turn. I now manage a Turkey Farm and just do IT on the side. Most relaxing decision I've ever made

I left a job once because I had a timecard and proof in the system of when I worked but, the HR manager saw a truck like mine driving around town during the hours I was at work so she said I didn't really work those hours. She even took a pictures of the 2013 4 door Dodge. Mine was a 98 single cab. They gave me 24hrs to "fix" my time card or they were going to fire me. So I quit on the spot and left my time card

I have been slowly setting myself up with as many alternatives as possible. We have a Garmin in the car so we don't use Gmaps, I've ditched all corps like Google or Facebook even run my own search engine. Honestly as daunting as it is once your not tied to a phone life is so much better. Don't fall into the trap

Was too angry. I'd spent 2 months fighting for my job because the Floor manager didn't like me. (I was inventory control out of her department but, could correct her for making mistakes) after I quit the inventory went to shit. A lot of people from my department (Logistics) then walked out and the factory went out of business within a year. Glad I jumped from that sinking ship

A few years ago I was driving to my wife's parents place to let their dogs out. It was about 6pm so not dark yet but, the sun was down. I turned the corner o t a back road that went next to the river and all of a sudden it rather dark outside, and I had a really bad sense of dread like the air was heavy. Some of the worst fear I've ever had was setting in. Then suddenly on the right I saw man who was pitch black wearing a hat leaning against a sign. Half a mile later I saw him again sitting on the guardrail on the other side of the road, so I sped up and got out of there. A few hours later I was headed home and same thing happened d I turned on the road and had fear well up inside me. I came around the bend and watched a Jetta go flying off the road and the girl driving hopped out and looked at me with tears pouring down her face, usually I'd be one to stop and make sure all was ok but, with the fear I had I just wanted out of there. Then I came around the next bend and saw him standing in the middle of the other lane roughly where I'd seen him before so I just floored it and got out of there. Still get spooked thinking about it and have a lot of nightmares since where the man with a hat is chasing me while I drive

If you leave your allow list blank it federated everything. I'd leave allow list blank and block specific Instances instead

If your under 39 and in decent enough shape (and US based) the Space Force is looking for recruits and has plenty of IT jobs available. When I'm ready to get back in to the service that is my plan currently

Offroading in a full size vehicle. Most people on trails have moved to Side by Sides which takes half the fun out of wheeling. I prefer difficult technical trails where we are crawling along at 5-10mph.

The things is it's half the actual wheeling and half the building of the rig. There's nothing more satisfying than spending all week building something then having it work properly on the trail over the weekend

Almost no stress at all. I have like 1 or two deadlines a month (load out and baby bird arrival) we have 40k birds handled between me and a part time farmhand. Everyday is as easy as walking through barns and picking up dead followed by yard work and maintenance. And once a month I run a litter machine through one of 3 finishers to keep the barns clean. Other than that it's just monitoring bird health which after you get used to it is easy. Most important thing is to keep the birds healthy, comfortable and happy

Users are so hard. Turkeys you just have to find any way they may kill themselves and fix it before they do
