they/them, love cats and bad at gaming
What's with that blip of increased activity at around July 2022?
I had the exact opposite problem, where I caught covid so early (back in January 2020) that they were still calling it bronchitis.
My mom, on the other hand, had a situation similar to you, and it hit her HARD. She still has long covid symptoms where she gets extreme fatigue and a weird taste in her mouth.
I consider myself a rookie audiophile. I must have my music files in flac format and they must be directly on my hard drive. I buy a bit of stuff from bandcamp and qobuz, but for my methods, there's a few routes I can take to get the majority through piracy.
The one I've chosen is called slav art, and it basically rips directly from streaming services and zips it in a downloadable file. It used to be on discord but got chased away, and it used to be on matrix after that but left there too for some reason. Now it's on its own revolt instance.
Fedora with KDE for my work laptop and windows 10 for my gaming PC. I greatly prefer linux but had several problems getting it to work properly on that PC and then I had to run the games too.
As for Fedora, I chose it because I wanted a system that just worked out of the box. Since I don't do games on that computer for the most part, it's much easier. Ubuntu unfortunately hard broke several times on me for reasons that were probably my fault but I don't entirely comprehend. Some were fixable but it wasn't worth the trouble. Fedora has never had any major issues for me.
If you want something familiar but also completely different, go with Pokemon Emerald Rogue. It does what it sounds like and turns the game into a roguelike.
My main one is on lemmy.ml and I'll admit it was just the first one I saw. My second one is on lemmy.blahaj.zone in case something happens to the dev instance.
After some hopping, I've been settled on Fedora KDE spin for a while because it just works for me.
Pokemon TCG Online had trading, but they replaced it with TCG Live, that doesn't and is generally a worse product.
Fedora KDE spin. I dunno how to feel about the recent announcement but from what I know, it shouldn't affect Fedora itself.
VA-11 HALL-A (not sure if I wrote that right) is a nice little cyberpunk visual novel that can run on a toaster and has a native linux version. It sort of falls in line with the choose your own adventure you mentioned because you can make some choices that affect certain things, but mostly, the game is about mixing drinks and changing lives.
I greatly appreciate this write up. Thank you.
I don't fully understand how silverblue and kinoite are different, but I feel this way with base Fedora KDE. I've never broken it even a little bit when that used to be common with Ubuntu based distros for whatever reason.
Hmm, yeah, I think I'm fine with the Cowboy Bebop opening.
I've always been a cat lover. Whether or not I'm a person is still up for debate.
Despite my name, it is Azelf.
Ah, good advice, though I almost always play on handheld mode and have the oled screen switch for this reason.
Someone already sort of mentioned this, but I don't usually like crafting and building stuff. So games like minecraft and animal crossing new horizons are out. For the latter, greatly prefer new leaf.
I bought that game too because it was on sale. Maybe I'll flip flop between it and Hollow Knight.
Can confirm it exists and seems somewhat active. https://lemmy.ml/c/patientgamers
It's very walkable. I can get to most places easily or just take a stroll around the neighborhood.
thanks for using Leebra!
