MJ12 Detachment Agent
Agreed, although it can be harder more well known ones.
I can highly recommend this game!
I would also start without reading my about the details of story/world and even the gameplay for that matter.
This one looks interesting. I am curious how much variation there is in the playstyles that you can select for your hero.
Definitely not from Garriot.
I would argue EA probably has a higher chance of releasing a good new Ultima game than Garriot.
Garriot did attempt to launch a scheme built around NFT fraud, but it never launched:
And his last MMO "Shroud of the Avatar" did sell land for several thousands dollars. They were never able to reach the scope of the Star Citizen run by Chis Roberts.
Indie CRPGs that mimic the style of Ultima would be one's best bet for a solid experience.
Garriot comes off as a more annoying version of Chris Roberts (and I find Chris Roberts to be very annoying).
I also found the whole Lord British thing extremely off-putting (Roberts has a similar thing where he wrote himself in as the saviour of mankind in Star Citizen lore), like aggressively so. Although I can see how it would be less of an issue in the heyday of the Ultima series.
User reviews! Wow, it took them how many years? Or is over half a decade?
I am no Valve fanboy (they were one of early "innovators" on lootboxes and they opposed consumer right protections in other countries, but compared to the vast majority of gaming companies they are not terrible (fucking Microsoft buying everything up and running the companies to the ground). That being said I think a wholesale abandonedment of all major US-based tech platforms is in order. They seem well on their way to adopting a permanent culture of criminality and dishonesty (not to say it's a plurality, let alone a majority of people who are like that), but you only need 15-20% of the country for a long but permanent step in moral decline.
The new lady in charge of Microsoft's gaming decision seems completely out of touch, as if she has no real clue what she is working with. I am sure she is an excellent career professional and a very intelligent individual. But gaming also requires creativity and not just a business plan.
Who is stopping you, I occasionally post pretty niche PC retro stuff, as long as the content is good.
That's a fair point.
Check out CS2, it's fun and well made.
The x-punk concepts are getting kind of stale IMO.
The creator of In Other Waters and Citizen Sleeper describes their new game as a first-person fungalpunk RPG
I loved Citizen Sleeper, it was in my backlog for a year or two. I tried it randomly when I was out of town and I was hooked, finished it in two (long) sittings.
The second one was really good too and I would recommend it if it seems interesting, but it didn't have that novelty factor of not knowing what to expect.
To be honest, this was to be expected.
That being said, this is more like a marathon than a 100 m sprint.
And the industry now knows that their leverage is not strong as they thought it was.
I am sure they thought it would never get this far.
It's really as an eclectic mix of themes and even genre styles.
Lucky you! The book is great too, it's easy to get into if you enjoyed the series.
That's fair, I never had a GBA or played Fire Emblem, but the concept sounded interesting, just added that for others like me. :)
This would be much appreciated.
Cheers!
Those fake "communist" roleplayers are a real drag on the Threadiverse.
Interesting concept. Although the art style isn't my thing, although I am more than happy to overlook that when needed.
Valve has previously said that 32-bit Windows installations represent around 0.01% of active Steam systems.
I feel like it's fair to sunset 32-bit Windows support if this segment represents 0.01% of your installed base
This is not surprising, video gaming has been around since the 70s, the first gamers are hitting 70+.
I don't use tiktok, but I was hanging out with brother and his gf and they showed me how they watch reels/tiktok. It was funny, I won't lie, but man the format is slop.
Funnily enough that's actually why it is my favourite GTA game (I haven't played 5 and I won't play 6), although nostalgia probably plays a big role too.
I also liked that it had a cold, clinical feel compared to the later GTAs. You are in "Anywhere City" and it feels like society has entered a permanent state of decline.
I also think the relatively lite cyberpunk and retro-futuristic elements added a bit of flair to the concept.
That being said, I can understand why they will never make a game like GTA2 again; bad market fit and the futurism of GTA2 is in many ways a product of the 90s/early 2000s.
thanks for using Leebra!
