I got my gender marker changed. But not my name change yet. So I'm in this weird limbo where this basically constantly happens as described by the meme haha.

Sometimes I encounter a nice person and they change my preferred name in the system. And sometimes I don't and it's annoying... Or they'll even make me announce my legal name etc.

I want to pursue my name change... But I'm also worried they'll refuse and correct my documents forcibly due to the current political state that I won't go into.

Plus I'm trying to buy a house and if I change my name I can lose my credit score apparently? I'm trying to wait until after I bought the house and then afterwards I might be able to do my name change by then. But we'll see what happens.

I had a old job that told me that code is "self documenting" if you write it "good enough". And that comments were unnecessary.

It always annoyed the heck out of me. Comments are imo more helpful than hurtful typically.

Whenever I go out, single use bathrooms or family bathrooms if possible helps ALOT to make me feel welcomed and safe. (Dealing with the bathroom issue is one of my greatest fears. I won't go into it further.)

Aside from that, if the people at my destination are nice and cordial, that's good enough for me. Just don't spread the hate.

My version of a TLDR:

Spotpass is a wireless tech that would auto connect with other 3ds or Wii U systems that were in the immediate area albeit with a limited range. It was their way of having a social community. Sort of like how you might meet other people while walking around outside.

In the case of Spotpass, when you connected, it would show you the user's profile, their favorite games, etc. And in some cases for specific games it would provide special DLCs or content that cannot be found elsewhere.

Hence why we'd want to preserve that data since some DLC and other features are exclusive to Spotpass.

I started HRT at the age of 36. I sometimes look back and wish I started sooner. But it is what it is. I can't change the past. All I can do is look forward to the future and focus on improving myself over time.

I'm a firm believer in that you can start HRT at any age. It's never too late to be the person you want to be. It's never too late to pursue happiness.

So basically, I was given my name haha. With permission from me of course. But at the time when I was just becoming aware that I'm trans I met some friends on VRChat. We would regularly hangout and stuff and the topic of names came up. I told them my now dead name and instantly my friend suggested the name "Allie". So I just rolled with it and it stuck and I liked my new name. Which is strangely fitting since my avatar is part cat, like an Alley Cat haha.

So yeah! Now I go by Allie now! But I'm probably gonna just use that as a preferred nickname and when I do my name change I'll probably write down "Allison". "Allie" for short. I'm also considering changing my middle name to "Nicole". But we'll see.

I haven't done my legal name change yet.

Because our current voting system is "first past the post". And that it eventually leads to an inevitable 2 party system.

OK so, this is a really weird way to read it and doesn't make any sense. But i think i got it. IMO makes the most sense. Start from the bottom kinda.

My one issue this week is that Im bad and I forgot to check the amount of pills I had. By the time I realized I was running out of Spiro it was too late. I filled the prescription and I'm getting it tomorrow so that's good. But I missed 2 days worth of doses. 2 pills twice a day.

Possibly a placebo effect but I do feel weird. I can't wait to start taking it again normally.

I am still taking my other pills normally like my Estradiol. And a few other things unrelated to HRT. I'm just trying to hang in there. Heres hoping it's ready on time and I can get my Spiro tomorrow.

I started learning how to make karaoke videos. Because the songs I like to sing are not readily available in karaoke format on YouTube.

I made a channel for it and everything 😉 I'm getting ready to publish my 2nd video very soon.

My goal is to try to do 1 song per month at a minimum. But, I do also have a day job and life stuff to juggle. So the YouTube channel is just a hobby.

I just came here cause my preferred reddit mobile app wanted money to work with the api or whatever. I've enjoyed being at Lemmy ever since. Granted my feed does seem to have its off days with not much going on. But that's ok.

I haven't really looked at reddit to tell what it's current state is. Nor do I care that much because Lemmy "works for me".

I've (MtF) been doing pretty good lately. I recently came out to work and I'm about to get a new badge soon. I'm basically full time fem now.

The only ones I haven't come out to yet are like outside family members such as my aunts and grandma and cousins. I currently have a supportive cousin but we barely talk due to life and stuff. And I'm pretty sure my aunts are gonna flip out so that'll be bad. Grandma might be supportive. And I have at least one other cousin in the LGBTQ community. My parents are not supportive but my Dad still at least wants to talk to me and stuff so that's nice I guess. So I guess its a bit of a mix in that regard...

In addition, HRT is doing its thing and I like the progress I've been making. Although atm, idk if its the progesterone... but at night i get really dizzy and tired sometimes... Thankfully I'm usually at home by the time I take my meds so, I just lay down and fall asleep. And I'm usually better in the morning.

This Wednesday I'll be going to a hair salon to get my hair trimmed a bit, but not too much. I'm trying to grow it out. And then later I plan on making another appointment to get my hair dyed. Probably gonna do red highlights of some kind (I currently have Brown hair).

And then I'm also going to Otakon on Aug 2nd so that'll be fun!
