I dunno, I feel like this could have been solved with a pizza party and T-shirts for less money

Translation: “we didn’t bother making this work with arc because the third party tool we used to port it from console to PC didn’t support it and we don’t give a fuck.

Perfect. Zero notes.

Social media should not be for kids.

The media organizations owned by billionaires can’t understand the mystery. They continually screw over their employees, the public trust, their customers, the government and everyone else they can are baffled as to why the public is unwilling to help. Billionaires everywhere are quoted as wondering why they aren’t tasted like the deities they see themselves as.

More at 11.

Fucking eh!

If you spend 10 minutes looking into Dolly Parton, you’ll find a Fucking Angel.

Legitimately. Look into her reading program. Not just the news articles, but the written deals. She makes sure that if her program is a success, that the county is contracted to keep it going FOR-FUCKING-EVER. Her legacy is generations of kids who graduate high school because she sent them books.

And that’s just ONE thing she did, with a legacy that will outlast every one of us.

We ride at dawn.

This is the answer.

Some early wifi routers with USB ports on them had the same issue.

It’s because they appear to be something they’re not.

They’re usually friendly and fun and do all sorts of employee retention activities like arranging go karting and such…

They seem like they’re there almost as union stewards, to try and help retain employees and ensure you’re treated well by management. This is not the case. They’re there to protect the company from lawsuits originated by you. This means that they’ll apply rules and such in ways that are not usually beneficial to you.

They’re actually really helpful if you have issues with a coworker! However, you need to remember that despite how friendly they seem, they’re not actually in your corner, they have their own agenda.

So the simple answer is that they aren’t bad at all, but it can feel bad if you thought they were your friend.

Sometimes there are things a person chooses to do that are bigger than themselves.

He chose to allow himself to be a martyr. Hopefully it makes a difference, but it very likely may not.

Who knows, maybe his sacrifice paves the way for his successor.

I literally came to the comments to find out if it was real or not.

Because quite frankly, I would probably believe either way .

We told these stupid employees that they had to do a 3 hour test in 1 hour or get fired and they started faking it.

No idea why.

Anyways, we fired these low level employees as an example because they broke our rules when we encouraged them to.

Don’t worry, the directors and execs that forced this scenario are safe and will continue to blame employees for the fuckups no matter HOW systemic they seem.

The system isn’t bad, Charles was bad.

We infected his personal items with the bubonic plague on the way out so that he can’t harm any more stock prices. I mean airplanes.

It’s worse than that, in Google’s current antitrust suit, the government showed that Google stopped searching for your exact text…. Instead they replace your text with the most profitable text that’s close to what you’re searching for. So you can’t actually get better results by refining your query anymore.

Meaning that Google is defrauding their users (making it look like they searched for something they didn’t give you the results for) and they defrauded AdWords clients because I paid for an ad when someone searches for X but Google manipulated a search for Y into X so that I’d have to pay more even though the user didn’t actually use my keyword.

Aaaaand we wonder why Google sucks now.

….. always the same reason that a company turns hostile to their clients….. “I’m big enough I don’t care, and I want more money, fuck you”

The problem is the same as with the telephone answering trees.

If they’re used to help you get where you’re going, then they’re great. But that’s not the best financially motivated decision. Solving your problem costs the companies money. Pissing you off and convincing you that your problem shouldn’t be fixed saves money on support.

So making you go round in circles is the machine doing EXACTLY what they want it to do.

Can we now finally say that drm sucks and any/all attempts to override it are reasonable because it’s broken by design?

I mean that’s beautifully put…..

But unfortunately it’s simpler than that. It’s the story of a reasonable man that achieved beyond his dreams and then flipped sides because of money and status.

“Suddenly I have an opinion on the capital gains tax.” Type of stuff.

Everyone is blaming Netflix, but it’s not their fault.

It’s the fault of the content owners. Disney, fox, paramount etc…..

Rather than make a little money off of Netflix, they decided they could scam more money by launching their own competing service
