absolutely! I went from 378lbs to 190lbs in just over 2 years and everyone was way nicer. women, (and men), flirted with me. workers in stores offered to help me more often. I got a raise. everyone treated me differently. even long time friends wanted to hang out more often than normal. then life happened, I gained back up to 302lbs. once again, I'm invisible. people rarely talk to me other than just a "good morning". but, I'm back on keto and fasting so soon I'll be back to my former glory.

I live in a medium sized southern town (US) and it's already happening. We have one homeless shelter that I drive past every day. It's mostly folks 50 and over. Several in wheelchairs. I've seen at least two folks in chairs with no legs. The crowd seems to get bigger every month. There's a row of abandoned businesses across the street and lots of them set up tents there during the day. Some just sleep on the ground out in the open. One of the deepest red states btw.

I was a teen in the early 90s. We had the best music. Lot's of diversity among my friends but that was just normal so I didn't really notice until the US got super racist and bigoted. Then I was like, "wow! were we all woke the whole time?" It was a better time. Also the local shrubbery was amazing, not like this new gas station garbage we have today. Most of us felt like we had a future. I feel so sorry for kids today, like, we failed you kiddos.

I was married til I was 38 (now 48). Got divorced, kids were grown, so I dated. A LOT. I've come to the conclusion that if you are single after 40, you are a basket case.
