Counterpoint: Noone grows up, some people are just better at hiding it. (Or activly choose not to)
@lemmy.world
Its funnier than that, jammers are not legal, but data poisioning is. Leave a device near by that just rotates through IDs of all the signal types you know its listening for and it protects everyone passing by because their UIDs get lost in the noise.
People do not know the manufacturing cost of TVs because everything is a smart device that generates data for to be sold by the manufacturer. A dumb device cost a premium in [insert current year] because they have to account for that lack of that revenue stream to keep the lights on. Its why dumb "commercial displays" cost an arm and a leg (plus they are designed to be on 24/7, their actual specs are usually fairly mid).
Ya know, thats a good idea. I would make the time frame shorter depending on what the range of the transmitter is. If you switch while in range of the camera would it pick you up as two vehicles?
IANAL, but because this was done on a third party encrypted chat app, doesn't it also violate the federal records act or something? If this was any other administration they would have been launched out of a cannon for that alone, not just the breach in security.
thanks for using Leebra!
