If you search in a forum, you most likely get a thread dedicated to only your problem or something very similar with lots of matching answers (best case)

In Discord you find a question by someone with your exact problem and then 40 messages about other problems, cause there is only a single "problems" channel. This is a god awful experience.

Yes there are some vendors/manufacturers who don't force you or ask, if you want an Ubuntu/Mint/Pop_!OS or smth. but most just don't give a shit.

As a software developer who only has business customers, let me tell you the following:
No matter how foolproof your system might seem. It never truly is. There is always some idiot (sometimes with a degree) who just can't understand/use it.

But they could still try and mostly succeed. They just don't want to.

Yeah that's right! Games like stardew valley, factorio, Terraria, Binding of Isaac, Hades and others could really learn from those brave heroes and finally remove the Battle pass and all the other payed content!

Q: Why didn't you write this in $NEW_LANGUAGE instead of crufty C++? A: I probably should have! $NEW_LANGUAGE is deservedly attracting a lot of attention for its combination of safety, readable syntax, and support for modern programming paradigms. I've been trying out $NEW_LANGUAGE and want to write more code in it. But for this I chose C++ because it's supported on all platforms, lots of people know how to use it, and it still supports high-level abstractions (unlike C.)

Folgendes ist nicht meine Meinung sondern meine Beobachtung in meinem Umfeld:

Die Linken(und Grünen) wollen, dass alle immer gendern und schwul sind und wir uns mit Steuern tot zahlen, während die uns unsere Autos wegnehmen, unsere Berge verspargeln und alles mit Solarzellen zupflastern und vegan muss es auch noch sein.
Und die Afd will das nicht, genausowenig wie die Medien. (Und ja, mit Medien meine ich querbeet alle großen Zeitungen. Die nehmen sich da alle nix)

SPD und CDU können hier auch nur noch die wenigsten sehen, weil die Leute tatsächlich merken, dass es die letzten 30 Jahre nicht wirklich besser geworden ist und dann bleibt halt nur noch die AfD, die dann immer schön indirekt gepusht wird.

Gestern erst gehört, dass wir wegen Baerbocks Visagistin so ein Haushaltsproblem haben (überspitzt aber war effektiv die Aussage). Künste dir nicht ausdenken, Bild und Konsorten schaffen das aber.
