Nah this show is funny as hell.

I would say only a small part is horror. First batch of episodes is like 60% comedy 40% thriller with a handful of horror moments. And then there’s a bit more thriller/tension stuff but still funny. It definitely uses established old school horror tropes for jokes or for a good creep.

I swear people don’t realize that Robocop and Starship Troopers is satire. Like how do you not see the obvious social commentary

This is the equivalent of “you don’t want to be like that Janitor over there” energy. Needlessly mean to a specific class or profession because they don’t see it as valued.

Which for me is absolutely fine. I’d much rather spend my time doing quests in detailed cities and occasionally going out to explore over the painfully empty universe of NMS. And I love NMS just for difference reasons. NMS is like a relaxing sandbox game for me, but Mass Effect and Starfield brings the characters, story, worldbuilding, quests, factions.
