Besides architecture. Cathedrals are dope. But everything else, yeah.

It was hard for Republicans to compete with The Onion's devastating exposé alleging that Walz' "aw, shucks" persona is merely a facade concealing his true "gee whiz" tendencies.

This is hilariously plausible. Someone SCUBA down to Gabe and give him the idea.

Still has 96% recent and 96% overall positive reviews and an "overwhelmingly positive" overall rating.

I don't think they're making much of a dent. The article is pretty unclear though on why Chinese gamers are mad, other than that there was a possible "dodgy translation."

Who would be attracted to this billionaire sex symbol, who's one of the most successful performers on the planet? Madness, I tell you.

Apparently, January was before they identified some of the production issues that led to recalls and so on. And also that Tesla has done a bad job with the recalls so even the "fixed" ones have misaligned panels and so forth.

Why anyone still has any interest at all in buying this piece of shit eludes me.

It was a staged photo op and the restaurant was closed to customers. He didn't decide to do actual work for the first time in his life. It was BS like everything else. Nobody ate that food.

Marjorie Taylor Green posted about how invading Venezuela is a terrible idea.

I hate it when I agree with Marjorie Taylor Green.

We had a neighborhood cat who would show up at the back door meowing for treats and scritches. I am strongly allergic and would run inside after petting her to wash my hands thoroughly and take two Benadryl.

I would still break out in hives all over my arms every single time. But I couldn't just not pet her! This meme is perfect.

Rest in peace, Bella. You were a very good kitty.

I guess I just have to keep Windows 10 with a custom group policy that disables all updates either forever or until I learn Linux.

Linux gaming is getting to the point that I could consider the switch, but I hear scary stories about Nvidia drivers.

The reaction to Clair Obscur has been wild. I had a friend I haven't talked to since high school - when we were both big Final Fantasy fans - reach out to ask if I'd played it. A bunch of guys at work are talking about it who I didn't even know were gamers. I hope we see a lot more of these passionate, creative projects and the infrastructure to support them.

Every time anyone rejects Microsoft's shitty bloatware/spyware it's a win. I just converted a few months ago. Win11 is going to push more and more people away.

In an AI model collapse, AI systems, which are trained on their own outputs, gradually lose accuracy, diversity, and reliability. This occurs because errors compound across successive model generations, leading to distorted data distributions and "irreversible defects" in performance. The final result? A Nature 2024 paper stated, "The model becomes poisoned with its own projection of reality."

A remarkably similar thing happened to my aunt who can't get off Facebook. We try feeding her accurate data, but she's become poisoned with her own projection of reality.

It's actually not easy to ensure that an LLM will cite a correct source, in the same way it's not easy to ensure that it will provide accurate information. It's based on token probability, not deterministic lookups of "this data came from this source." It could entirely make something up, then write "Source:" and then probabilistically write "Wikipedia" because those tokens commonly follow those for "Source."

If you have an AI bot that looks up information in real time, then that would be easy. But for a trained LLM, the training process is highly destructive. Original information is not preserved except in relationships based on probability.
